Grid-X possesses a system that creates work orders to monitor each step in the process of Fiber To The Home drilling, splicing, and installation. This system (called FiberLink) records the full asset management process of fiber to the home. All the ‘as-built’ data is integrated into GIS and can be used for urban asset management, network illumination and fast track repairs. FiberLink also enables users to create and query permit requests for projects. It encapsulates the full cycle of Fiber Network Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Damage Prevention in a streamlined fashion.
Fiberlink is a GIS based system and consists of modules such as: Pre-Engineering and Permitting, all aspects of Network Installations, Network Construction Management, Network Mapping and Integration of all types of Meta-Data from the field, allowing the red-lining of As-Built information, Asset Management & Network Operations Management. It includes features such as:
- Pre-Engineering Module
- Network Design Module
- Permitting Module
- Construction & Cost Tracking
- Asset Management/On-Going Maintenance Module
- Network Integrity & Damage Prevention Module
